Made out of one halved record and reclaimed denim, Hessian or other strong material. The cord handles are long enough to go over your shoulder and the bag is held closed with a button.

Kis 050 - CD Purse - R65.00
This little bag is made from two old CD’s and either denim or Hessian. Wire handles and beads finish the bag and it is held closed with a button.

Kis 128 - Fused Plastic Hand Bag - R165.00
Using up some of the huge quantity of plastic packaging we collect on our rounds these cute bags make an obvious statement about how you feel about cleaning up the environment! The material used is made up from layers of plastic wrappers and bags fused together and finished with a strong, clear packaging plastic on the top layer. The handles pictured here are from pet food packaging and the bag closes with a strip of Velcro or a magnet clasp. The finished bag measures about 30cm at its widest point and about 20cm high. The base of the bag is approximately 5cm wide. Contact me if you would like to discuss different measurements.

Kis 129 - Upcycled Snack Wrapper Purse - R35.00
By fusing discarded chip packets, chocolate wrappers etc with clear packaging plastic a strong material is made to create these funky pouches. The purse is taped and then hand stitched for extra strength and it is held closed with a metal poppa on the flap. Useful for holding money, mp3 and i-pods, cell phone chargers, tobacco, business cards and more.

Kis 130 - Tetra Pac Purse - R25.00
Although Tetra Pac packaging (milk and juice boxes etc) is recyclable in most areas in South Africa we don't yet have a recycling plant able to recycle these boxes in the Eastern Cape. We still use and collect loads of this packaging so these coin purses are the first of many items I have been working on to upcycle this material into something useful. They are made from one box and a clip to hold it closed.

Kis 133 - Diskette Basket - R187.00
With plenty of old computer diskettes discarded with the leap to CD’s and then Flash Sticks we had to come up with something to use them for. These little baskets are 3 discs by 2 disc big and the whole basket is one disc wide. The disc are wired together and the handles are made from computer wires were ever possible. Reclaimed material is used to line the inside of the basket.

Made from mostly unrecycleable chip packets, choc wrappers and other snack packaging these bags are reinforced with a strong clear plastic. The lining is cut from reclaimed fabric, usually denim, corduroy or calico. The bags have a long strap that goes over the shoulder and can be made from old ties, belts or other such interesting things. No two of these bags are ever exactly the same.

Kis 150 - Cell phone pouch - R45.00
Made from mostly unrecycleable chip packets, choc wrappers and other snack packaging these pouches are reinforced with a strong clear plastic. The lining is cut from reclaimed fabric, usually denim, and corduroy. The pouch is held closed securely with a button. These pouches keep your phone safe from knocks and scratches in your bag, and they’re kinda funky too. They come in 3 sizes, small – most slim line phones; medium – work well most thicker or slide phones, large – for smart phones. Not sure were your phone fits in?
